=Design Competition Formats= Design competitions come in two different formats, Individual and Team. Both types of competitions require tagging submissions with a [DC] tag, as opposed to the standard submission [Card] tag. The DC tag is followed by the competition week number - a week 12 competition submission would be tagged [DC12]. Cards submitted to DCs are automatically considered to be submitted normally as well, and if they do not make the accepted card slots for the DC, but still has a high enough vote amount to be amongst the top 10 normal submissions that week, then they will be added to the game. ==Individual== Individual competitions give players the opportunities to create a card designed around a theme or mechanical restricction in a relatively short time frame. These competitions have a submission deadline at midnight PST the day after they are announced. Players must work to create a card that fits the theme, and is also well-balanced enough to gain support from the community. Players can work together on submissions, however only the player who submits the final product will receive the reward. Players can submit as many cards for the competition as they like. ==Team== Team competitions feature two-person teams working together to create a card. These competitions tend to have longer periods of time than individual, but normally have the same deadline of Wednesday at 11:59 PM PST. Like individual competitions, players must work to create a card that fits the theme, and is also well-designed enough to gain support from the community. The card submissions for team competitions are required to have a team name in both the developer and artist slot to signify that the creation of the card was a team effort. If successful in winning a team competition, both members are rewarded with gold. Teams are only permitted to submit a single card together.
